We are a school founded in the Raleigh neighborhood of north Memphis. Any student from Shelby County is eligible to apply or attend.

If you are interested in transportation, please call the school or select that you are interested in Busing on your enrollment application.

Do I need to pay or take a test to attend Beacon?
No! Beacon College Prep is a free, public charter school open to all Memphis families. There are no tests, no tuition, and no fees. Ever.
How does the lottery system work?
All applications received by 11:59 PM on January 31, 2024, will be included in a random-draw lottery (time and location TBD). It is not necessary to be present at the lottery to accept a seat if offered. Applications received after January 31 will be added to the wait list in the order they are received.
What if I miss the deadline?
Applications received after the deadline will not be included in the lottery. They will be added to the wait list in the order they are received.
Do you accept students with IEPs?
Absolutely. We educate all scholars. Our school is designed to support the learning needs of all students.
Do you offer transportation?
Yes! Upon enrollment you will note whether your scholar needs to ride the bus. Bus routes are determined based on need.
